MAC - Paint Pot "Painterly"

Kennt Ihr das? 

Soll Ich, soll ich nicht? Ich hab diesen Konflikt immer wieder, wenn ich mir etwas kaufe, was ein bisschen teurer ist!

Do you know that? 

Should I, should I not? I always have this conflict when I buy something that´s a bit more pricey.

Genauso ging es mir dann auch schon längerem mit den Paint Pots von MAC. So toll sie auch sein mögen, ist es wirklich nötig so viel Geld für sie auszugeben?

I felt exactly the same with the Paint Pots from MAC. As good as they might be, is it really necessary to spend so much money on them?

Auch wenn ich skeptisch war, war ich genauso neugierig und da ich ein Lidschatten-Junkie bin war ich natürlich noch neugieriger.

Even though I was skeptical, I was equally curious and because I´m an eyeshadow junkie I was even more curious.

Als ich in Holland war, hab ich mir denn endlich einen der Paint Pots gekauft. In Holland sind sie fast 5€ günstiger als hier in Deutschland!

When I was in the Netherlands, I finally bought one of the Paint Pots. In the Netherlands they are nearly 5€ cheaper than in Germany.

Ich hab mich dann für die Farbe "Painterly" entschieden. Sie passt perfekt zu meinem Hautton.

I then decided to buy the shade "Painterly". It really fits perfectly to my skintone.

Ich finde, die Farbe lässt sich super verblenden und ich finde es wahnsinn, wie die Farben meiner Lidschatten über dem Paint Pot herauskommen. 

They are easy to blend out and I think it´s crazy how well the colors of my eyeshadows come out with the Paint Pot as base.

Sehr viel haltbarer macht er meinen Lidschatten allerdings nicht. Vielleicht hält er ein wenig länger, aber auch nur minimal.

Ich hab dann zusätzlich einen Eyeshadow Primer darunter aufgetragen und damit konnte ich auch die längste Haltbarkeit herausholen.

But I don´t think that the eyeshadow lasts that much longer. Maybe a little bit but really just a little. I additionally applied an eyeshadow primer underneath and through this I could get the longest lasting power.

Insgesamt bin ich aber sehr zufrieden mit dem Paint Pot.

But overall I´m pretty satisfied with the Paint Pot.

Ich hab jetzt allerdings schon des öfteren gehört, dass der Painterly schnell eintrocknet. Ich dreh das Pöttchen deswegen immer extra fest zu und hoffe nun einfach, dass er nicht so schnell eintrocknet, denn das finde ich angesichts des Preises doch sehr ärgerlich!

But I actually heard that Painterly dries out very fast. I always close the pot extra strong and I really hope that it doesn´t dry that fast, because considering the price, this would be very annoying!
